Raymond Terrace Bowling Club has launched its own Junior Bowls Academy sponsored by:
The Jets Academy, as it is known, was formed in order to introduce a new breed of Kids to the sport.
Thanks to the support of Aero Bowls we are kitting the kids out with an exclusive Jets Academy shirt and everything that they need to take to the greens. Scholarships are also up for grabs and will be issued to the most promising kids who show commitment to the program and the game of Lawn Bowls. A set of Aero Bowls and a Comfitpro Bowls Bag will be given to scholarship holders however we have an assortment of Henselite Bowls for kids to use even if they are not lucky enough to receive a scholarship. We are proud to be able to offer this opportunity to Junior Boys and Girls who are interested in taking up our sport or even just curious to try it out. Our Club Coach Matthew Baus is the facilitator of the program. His experience having come through the Junior ranks and having been a member of the Senior Australian Squad holds him in good stead to be able to pass his knowledge and experiences onto a new breed of Junior Bowlers.
Former State Representatives Jason Stokes and Lennon Scott are also on deck and are only too happy to help in any way. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience to be drawn upon from players that have all come up through the Junior ranks and know what challenges Junior Bowlers face when embarking upon their bowling careers.
